Casting call for next book!
I usually read two books at once, of very different styles or genres. I also do this because I own more books than I will be able to read in a lifetime --it's a race against the clock, people!
I'm a third through this monster...but it's a good monster (like the Frankenstein who picks up a daisy and gives it to the little girl...forget the part afterward and just work with me here).

It's the first of a series which is tiding me over whilst I wait for the newest Game of Thrones to finally arrive (no date on that yet, not even the Weirwood tree will say, despite how many Skittles or Reese's Pieces I leave as offerings).
Since I have about 400 more pages to go, I'd like to have a little other somethin'-somethin' on the side.
Now, this is a real, bonafide, legit, no nepotism or bribery-involved vote for the 2nd book.
Please take a look and cast your vote in the comment section of this blog post. Whichever is most requested, I pledge upon The Seven (if you do not read Game of Thrones, ignore that comment, but also rethink your life).
OPPONENT 1:"The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold (dark but I think the charm bracelet on the cover is a nice touch--low end Pandora, but yes, perchance also a clue!)

OPPONENT 2: "The Pursuit of Love" and "Love in a Cold Climate" by Nancy Mitford. The cover-girl looks trapped between the worlds of Scarlet O'Hara, Downton Abbey and Agatha Christie mysteries.

OPPONENT 3: "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon, given to me by dearest ma-ma, whose first name is still protected for her safety and reputation. Now, this is a series and each one is a tome in itself, but I have been watching the Starz tv-rendition of the story.
